Full contact flag football is growing in popularity in Coral Springs. Players can’t tackle but they can block. And it is every bit as fast moving and competitive as tackle football. The teams completed their season this Saturday with a National Championship game. Each team wears a uniform and is named for a division one college team. And like all college teams, the goal is to reach the National Championship. The younger players compete as freshmen, then become juniors and then seniors.
“Because we allow contact, most of these players are ready for high school competition after playing here,” said Bryan Levin, who runs the league.
The Tigers finished their regular season 10-8 and played in the National Championship
