J.P. Taravella High School offers a ProStart program for students who want a career in the culinary arts. Students in the program run a Café Station for students and sell lunches to faculty and administrators. They also cater local events. “I love cooking,” said Nicole Rivera, an executive chef. Katherine Cohen, executive sous chef also enjoys preparing meals. The J.P. Taravella ProStart program has received recognition at state level competitions.

Members of the ProStart program recently provided lunch to people who participated in the 9/11 Stair Climb event.
