Governor Rick Scott is now accepting applications for the District Three Seat on the Broward County Commission. This seat was vacated by Stacy Ritter when she became president of the Broward Tourism program. So far, Levi Williams, a lawyer and former Coral Springs Commissioner Tom Powers have applied. The position is temporary and lasts four months. And the Governor may not appoint anyone to the seat. The people running for the seat in November include Parkland Mayor Michael Udine and Randal Cutter, a pastor. Udine is a Democrat and Cutter is a pastor. The district includes Coral Springs, Parkland, Tamarac and North Lauderdale.
