The Coral Springs Craft Guild held its annual Craft Show in Coral Springs on October 7 and 8. The show was very successful and on Friday night, many people came to the show to view and purchase the many craft items available.
“This was a very nice event and we had a lot of people here,” said Anji Scarbrough, a leader in the Coral Springs Craft Guild.
The money raised from the event went toward college scholarships.
Marilyn McMullan, Coral Springs Craft Guild Chapter president was also pleased with the event. “We were able to set up on Friday and we had a huge line outside on Friday night. This was a great sale,” she said.
The Coral Springs Craft Guild meets on the third Wednesday of each month at 7:00 p.m. at Cypress Hammock Park. Meetings include an accomplished artisan, a hands-on demonstration of a craft project. The program is open to the public. Early each October, the Guild holds a Holiday Craft Show to show and sell the members’ craft items. Each year, the Guild awards scholarships to high school seniors who are pursuing education in any art or craft related field. More than $65,000 has been donated since the Guild began.
