On November 8, millions of Americans will go to the polls to vote. Of course much of the talk is about Trump versus Clinton, and this presidential race may be the most mean spirited and toxic in recent years. But there are many local races and issues that will affect us all in some ways more than the big national races. Voters will decide about solar power, medical marijuana and whether or not there should be a penny sales tax to fund infrastructure projects. On the Coral Springs Commission, Larry Vignola is running as an incumbent against Karen Jones. Vignola wants people to know about the efforts he has made to make Coral Springs a first class city. Jones wants to improve parks and have police substations. For the County Commissioner, former Parkland Mayor Michael Udine is running against Randall Cutter, a Coral Springs pastor. Both have a great deal of leadership experience and both are strong candidates.
