At its meeting Wednesday evening, the City of Parkland (City) City Commission voted unanimously to approve plans for Allegro Management Company to build a senior living facility on Loxahatchee Road immediately west of the parcel that fronts U.S. 441/State Road 7.  The parcel that fronts U.S. 441/State Road 7 on the northwest corner of the intersection with Loxahatchee Road has already been prepared for construction of a Wawa convenience store.  Construction of Wawa is expected to begin in Spring 2017 and construction of the Allegro senior living facility is expected to begin before the end of 2017.

Key to construction of both properties are conditions to minimize traffic obstruction during the construction process—particularly during rush hours.  Additionally, the external appearances of the buildings will be consistent with Parkland’s existing commercial development which incorporates stone and wood.

Allegro Management Company is based in St. Louis, Missouri and currently has nine senior living facilities in Florida, the nearest one being in Boynton Beach.  Allegro will provide upscale independent living, assisted living, and memory care in the Parkland facility which will be approximately 167 units.
