The City of Pompano Beach now has a new and beautiful mural showing the history of the City.
People got together on January 6 to participate in the unveiling of a mural painted by South Florida Artist Carlos Inocent Gonzalez. It is located I the alley behind the Bailey Contemporary Arts (BaCA) building.
“This project means a lot to me,” said Gonzalez. “I want to create art that has impact. I wanted to show the history of Pompano Beach.”
Mayor Lamar Fisher was pleased with the mural and participated in the dedication event. “Public art is a top priority for Pompano Beach and this mural is the epitome of what we want to do,” he said.
