A group of monks from the Drepung Gomang Monastery in India are visiting the Coral Springs Museum of Art. They are performing a blessing of the space with chanting and traditional instruments. They are also producing a mandala, an artistic work made of sand. The mandala construction is for the Buddha of compassion: Chenrezig. The purpose of the construction of this mandala is to encourage everyone of us to generate a compassionate heart for of sentient beings. People can spend time with the monks and the mandala in silent meditation. They can also learn about the beliefs of the monks. They can watch and listen at the monks chant and eat meals with the monks. The monks prepare the meals.
