The Governance Subcommittee of the Broward County Charter Review Commission invites the public to a workshop and special meeting on Saturday, January 28, 2017, at the Anne Kolb Nature Center, 751 Sheridan Street, Hollywood, from 10AM-2PM. The Subcommittee will discuss previously identified topics and encourages the public to attend and provide comments during the meeting.

The Governance Subcommittee was established at the Charter Review Commission’s March 12, 2016, workshop and special meeting and is now comprised of 12 members. Since its inception, the Subcommittee has identified and engaged in discussions on the following topics:

  • Elected Mayor
  • County Commission Makeup
  • Redistricting
  • Term Limits
  • County Commission Committees (Committees of the Commission)
  • County Administration
  • Constitutional Officers

These discussion topics serve as basis for the Governance Subcommittee’s review, deliberation, and possible formulation of recommendations through the remainder of the Charter Review Commission’s term. These topics will form the source of discussion for the meeting on January 28, 2017.
