Starting February 13, Coral Springs residents can expect some major delays on Sample Road. During replacement of the water and sewer lines on Sample Road between University Drive and Coral Hills Drive, one lane of traffic in each direction will be open on Sample Road within the project limits for about eight weeks.

Redevelopment in Downtown Coral Springs has created additional infrastructure demands that require replacing and upgrading aging pipelines. As a result, the City of Coral Springs is moving forward with its water and wastewater improvement plans to maintain reliable utility service to existing customers and to accommodate future redevelopment. The construction cost will be $3 million.

The City of Coral Springs is taking proactive steps to replace the city’s aging infrastructure to prevent costly sewer and water line breaks. As part of an investment in the City’s downtown area, new water and sewer pipelines are being installed on Sample Road. The project is part of the City’s downtown water and sewer improvements that entails removing pipes more than 50 years old and replacing them with large capacity water and were mains to prepare for a growing downtown.
