We are thrilled to share the results of our students’ performance at this weekend’s Florida DECA Career Development Conference, where they competed among more than 2,000 teens from throughout Florida. These students will now represent our school, our JPT DECA chapter and our state at April’s DECA International Career Development Conference in Anaheim, CA!

FOUR teams/individuals took home a FIRST PLACE trophy!

  • Samantha Kaye, Spencer Gorelick and Kevin Ward won for our chapter project, “Here 2 Help,” which promotes Crisis Text Line. This is an opportunity to continue to spread the word about this important resource for mental health!
  • Zach Blanket and Katie Kutchera won for Business Law & Ethics
  • Samantha Diaz won for Personal Financial Literacy
  • Chris Henderson won for Financial Consulting

Other winners include:

  • Janelle Hamilton – 2nd Place for her Start-Up Business Plan
  • Amy Fleischner – 3rd Place for Personal Financial Literacy
  • Hamil Patel – 3rd Place for Principles of Finance
  • Brandon Guarro – 4th Place for Food Marketing
