The Coral Springs Festival of the Arts brought about 50,000 people to The Walk. They enjoyed a wide variety of entertainment including the Coral Springs High School Chorus and other groups. The Garden Club of Coral Springs offered a Garden Festival. Many artists from around the area displayed their works. People enjoyed visiting the artists booths and purchasing artwork.

Sandy Knebel, president of the Coral Springs Garden Club said, “We encourage people to garden and plant trees. This is a nice event,” she said.

Mary Catherine Salo, the director of the Coral Springs High School Chorus was also pleased with the event. She brought some her students and they sang to an appreciative audience. She will bring six choral groups to a district competition next week. “We had a great time. The students enjoyed performing today,” she said.

Larry Rodkin, who was in charge of the entertainment for the event said, “We brought together a mixture of cultures with our entertainment. This is a nice event.”

Dotty Molski of the Friends of Music was glad to be a part of the event and said her organization has an event “Roll Over, Beethoven” on April 1.

The artists enjoyed the opportunity to display their work. Jen Walls offered mixed media. “This was a good event with a lot of good music and food,” she said.

Barbara Capeletti was offering water color arts. “I like being a part of this Festival,” she said.
