The hardest part of the Sample Road Water & Sewer Line Replacement is now over. All lanes on Sample Road are now open in both directions. Construction was completed on schedule and within budget. We thank you for your patience as we continue to improve the infrastructure that serves our residents, businesses and the future development of the Downtown area.

As part of the overall infrastructure improvement project, the next phase will involve construction at the Coral Hills Drive and Sample Road intersection.

Construction will begin at Coral Hills Drive, starting this Monday night, April 17. The intersection work will begin at 9 p.m. and continue until 6 a.m. Construction crews will be working for the next 2 weeks, beginning on Sunday nights through Thursday nights. There will be no construction work in the intersections on Friday and Saturday nights.

Local traffic will be diverted to detour routes using the following:

  1. Only local traffic will be allowed between University Drive to Coral Springs Drive with no access through the Coral Hills Drive intersection.
  2. West bound traffic on Sample Road will need to go to Wiles Road on the North or Royal Palm Boulevard on the south in order to go west.
  3. East bound traffic on Sample Road will need to go to Wiles Road on the north or Royal Palm Boulevard on the south in order to go east.
  4. Green routes are recommended detour routes.

If you don’t have a need to be between Coral Hills Drive and Coral Springs Drive, please avoid the area.
