Jay Perez has a passion for preparing high quality seafood. As a manager and cook for Florida Fine Foods, he got to do plenty of cooking at the Pompano Beach Seafood Festival. He was offering clam strips, shrimp, lobster on a stick, shrimp and fish.
“I love being here. I love the atmosphere of the Seafood Festival. I have a part of it for 20 years and I look forward to it every year,” he said.
Michael and Chris Amato, from Coral Springs enjoyed attending the Seafood Festival. “We love the food and it is great atmosphere,” said Chris.
Thousands of people attended the weekend long festival and had a great time. There were many bands that performed and there was a huge variety of seafood. Civic organizations provided various beverages. Debbie Cline, a member of Soroptimist enjoyed serving drinks to people. “We are raising money for charity,” she said. “This is a fun place to be.”
Jenny Meier came with her friends Tom and Jacki Bornaman. “We had a good time today,” said Jenny.
Stephanie Eisenring said, “This is my favorite event in Pompano Beach.”
Bruce Thomas of PC Concessions enjoyed the event. “We are serving lobster, shrimp, crab and fish. I love it here,” he said.
