Thousands of people came together to celebrate the dedication of the new $18 million Pompano Beach Cultural Arts Center and Library next to City Hall. The new building includes 48,000 square feet, a performing arts center, a library and an art gallery. Everything about it is state of the art and it represents the hopes and dreams of Pompano Beach. Mayor Lamar Fisher said, “This is your arts center. Many new careers will be launched here,” he said.
State Rep. Kristin Jacobs spoke and described how it took time and patience to raise the money to make the Cultural Center a reality. After the ribbon cutting, people enjoyed a tour of the new facility.
