Andy Buglione loves a parade. And at age 90, he got to organize one. He was the leader of the Pompano Beach Memorial Day Parade and ceremony. Buglione is a veteran of World War II and Korea. He is proud of his service and is active in the Boy Scouts. “I love to help young men become leaders,” he said. “I think it is important to honor our nation’s veterans and those who gave their lives for their country. Many of those who participated were veterans but a large group of Boy Scouts also participated. Mayor Lamar Fisher said he believes it is important to recognize the nation’s veterans. Leaders from the community were present at the event which included the playing of taps and a gun volley.
