Broward County voters may have major changes to consider on Broward government. On the 2018 ballot, they may be able to consider an elected mayor who would be able to veto commission decisions. Right now, the mayor is selected by the commission and does not have veto powers. Also, to be considered, should commissioners be elected countywide or from districts. Also, should the Broward Sheriff, property appraiser and supervisor of elections be appointed or elected by county voters.
