Residents can explore international tastes, experience worldly traditions, and dance to the sounds of the region as part of the city’s International Dinner Dance taking place on Saturday, August 24 at 7 p.m. at the Marriott Heron Bay (11775 Heron Bay Blvd.)

Highlighting a different country every year, the 2024 event will focus on the culture, cuisine, and entertainment of Spain. The International Dinner Dance is hosted annually by the Multi-Cultural Advisory Committee. Commissioner Nancy Metayer Bowen serves as the committee’s Commission Liaison and holds an appreciation for this event and what it represents.

“Our International Dinner Dance allows us to ‘travel around the world’ and become immersed in a different culture without leaving Coral Springs,” Metayer Bowen said.  “This event also showcases the diversity of the city, and I always look forward to an enjoyable and elegant evening with our community.”

True to the authentic culture of Spain, this year’s event will feature colorful décor, tapas, a paella station, photo booth, DJ music, and Spanish-style entertainment. Tickets cost $75 and include food, complimentary dinner wine and glass of sangria, entertainment, and the opportunity to dance the night away. Guests are encouraged to dress in the attire of the featured country or represent their own culture with traditional evening attire.
